Once upon a time, two words carried some serious weight: Nicolas Cage. Now a days, that forgotten prominent name is just a gust in the wind.
What the hell happened to Nicolas cage? Where did he steer wrong? Was it the Wickerman?Next? The sorcerers apprentice? To be honest, I think National Treasure is one of the worse movies of all time but that is his last relevant movie. Let’s take a deeper look into some of the actors most celebrated cinema’s.
- The Wickerman
Nothing says Nicolas cage like a shitty remake from 1973. The 2006 film centers around a dedicated sheriff (Cage) who investigates the disappearance of a young girl from a small town. As Cage ventures into the unknown, he begins to realize that even the smallest of towns have their biggest secrets. Check out the some of the actor’s finest work below. ranked 3.7 on IMB. NOT THE BEES!!!!!!
I honestly don’t know what the f**k this movie is about nor why his agent would allow him to partake in this film, yet here we are. Nicolas Cage plays “Fu Manchu” the sergeant of the werewolf women of the SS. Yes, that is a real sentence that I had to write on paper. Yes, that is a real character in a real movie in real life. Nicolas Cage’s life. Here’s a hot appetizer for you from 2007. Some how this has a 7.6 on IMB. My god America is imploding.
3. Drive Angry
Take a ride with me to 2011 where Cage brings down the house in this action packed film that is totally high budget and not a thursday night syfy flick. A vengeful father (Cage) escapes from the depths of hell and chases after the men who killed his daughter and kidnapped his granddaughter. Pretty basic scenario: Guy goes to hell, escapes to avenge his daughters-daughter on earth. Although he technically is dead and a descendent from hell, Cage as always, has a way with ladies. Good for 5.4 on IMB
Well, that’s all for this week. Worry not, Cage has literally been in 92 movies (look it up)
