The Clash of the Titans

In 5 years, this is going to be a matchup in two big NFL teams twice a year.  Let that sink in.  That would be like during Season 4 of Game of Thrones I told you Theon(as Reek) would have seized control of the Iron Islands and Little Kid Ned Umber became Warden of the North and that these two were at war in the final season of Game of Thrones.

Dwayne Haskins has the stats(50 TDs) and potential, but he wasn’t drafted because he fell to 15 but more so because Dan Snyder’s son knew a guy who knew a guy who went to high school with him.  As soon as that rumor started circulating, Dwayne could not have been thrilled.  Daniel Jones surely would not be getting publicly shamed right now if the Patriots had taken him with the 32nd pick in the draft.  In fact, fans of AFC East teams would probably be petrified that Belichick has gotten his hands on a smart, tall QB that is being groomed as the successor.  In general, it is hard to be excited by the possibility of this being a marque league match up, probably slated as a primetime game a few times a year.
TL;DR:  Both of these guys will probably be very average to slightly above average, maybe even Andy Dalton-esque.  Maybe I shouldn’t have compared either of them to Reek, but looking towards the future of the league, it is just hard for me to get fired up about the wars to come between the G-Men and the ‘skins.
