You may not have ever been to West Virginia, but sure enough, when that song comes on, you’re screaming at the top of your lungs that it’s the place where you belong. Even though it’s a strange place to you, it still feels like home (well at least sounds like home). After the song ends, you turn to your friend and say “You know what, we should go there.”

West Virginia was named after the “Virgin Queen”, Elizabeth I. For this week’s Game Day Cocktails, we’re mixing up something that is anything but Virgin: the Mountaineer Margarita. This cocktail has the perfect blend of blue and gold to show that school spirit, and enough booze to lift your spirits higher than those Appalachian mountains. One or two of these and before long you’ll be singing “take me home country roads”. Make sure you drink responsibly though. In West Virginia, you can be fined a $1 each time you curse or get drunk in public. Worth it.
